CHICAGO – April 27, 2021 –
GreenKey (gk), a leader in AI technology for audio analysis, announced the addition of Hallie Aston as Senior Product Manager. Previously part of the digital innovation team at JP Morgan, Aston joins newly appointed Chief Product Officer, Tejas Shastry, in expanding gk’s police body camera audio analysis platform.
“Hallie is an absolute star and we are thrilled she chose to join GreenKey’s product team,” said Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer, Dr. Tejas Shastry. “Hallie will drive our high-growth business in police performance metrics as we continue to help cities across the U.S. analyze their body camera footage, surface insights that improve police training, and leverage technology to improve police accountability.”
More than 1 million bodycam videos are made each day, but less than 0.1% are ever reviewed, let alone analyzed. With more than 50% of officers wearing body cams (and an expected 95% in the next 5 years), it’s vital city officials have the analytics reporting capability to explain the incredible amount of insights generated in every police interactions.
In addition to police performance metrics, the gk suite provides substantial cost savings for elected officials who are struggling to pay their existing body camera data storage bills. GreenKey can categorize files based on a risk score, enabling departments to delete files that contain no relevant speech or risky content. Most cities can more than offset the additional cost of analytics with savings from reducing their storage needs.
GreenKey (GK) unlocks body camera data to improve policing. Using artificial intelligence, GK enables elected officials, cities and police departments to access impactful insights, such as if an interaction was respectful, if racial bias was present, or which de-escalation tactic was most effective.
